STUCKEMAN
ROBOTS
Workshops on design robotics at the Stuckeman School!
Working on a wide range of robotic applications, you will learn how to program, simulate and control ABB industrial robots, to connect tools and devices to the robot, and to define custom workflows
-things to get you started with design robotics!
Instructors:
Özgüç Bertug Çapunaman (PhD student - Design Computing, Penn State University - Department of Architecture)
Elizabeth Andrzejewski (PhD student - Material Matters, Penn State University - Department of Architecture)
Benay Gürsoy (Assistant Professor, Penn State University - Department of Architecture)
Marcus Shaffer (Associate Professor, Penn State University - Department of Architecture)
Learning Goals:
Participants will learn simple workflows to control ABB robots using Rhinoceros and Robots plugin in Grasshopper. Upon completion of the workshops, participants will be able to calibrate the robot, integrate tools and devices, and program the machines for other tasks.
Requirements:
While no prior knowledge in software or robotics is necessary, a previous experience with Rhinoceros is preferred.
Students should bring their own computers. PCs are preferred.
Participants:
Workshops are open to all students at the Stuckeman School, and are limited to 15 participants.
